Lisa Phillips, 500 ERYT
Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher

Picture
Lisa has been a student of yoga since 1993 and a Registered Yoga Teacher since 2011.  Because of her passion for yoga, Lisa is constantly striving to learn more about it.  She has completed the highest training available for a yoga teacher, the 500 RYT and has taught over 2,000 hours, which certifies her has a 500 ERYT (Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher).   Even after reaching these milestones, Lisa's love for yoga entices her to continue taking training classes, learning and always bringing more to her students.

Lisa teaches classes that are geared toward challenging the mind, spirit and heart.  She wants her students to leave class feeling more empowered, flexible and strong on all levels.  Classes are always determined by the ability level of the students in the class.  It is important to Lisa that her classes are accessible by all students and that everyone feels a sense of accomplishment when they are done.  Although all student's will have an elevated heart rate and be challenged, we will not move too quickly through poses.  More time is spent getting into the yoga poses correctly and safely. Because of Lisa's slow progression, most students find that this can be even more challenging than a fast paced Vinyasa class, due to the extra time holding a pose and having enough time to properly challenge the muscles by being in the poses correctly.   And most importantly,  we will use yoga sequences and poses to quiet your mind enough that you can clearly hear the whispers of your heart.
