Parent & Child Yoga Classes
A fun & challenging class for parents and children of ALL AGES! We will move through various yoga poses that will be for the benefit of both parents and children. With a parent's example, the children will strive to emulate the parent and the teacher. Don't think that this class is all about the child though! The parents will be challenged and walk out with the same feeling of calm & bliss that the kids do, without having to take a "child's" class. I promise, we will never "moo like a cow" or "act like a snake". This is a serious class for the adults and the children are invited to join us, not a class for the children that the parents are asked to participate in. This classroom setting will allow the parents to practice and the children to benefit as well. Both parents and children will benefit from the physical exercise and the careful sequencing of postures. With these exercises, all will be creating new neural pathways. Children will benefit from the language development, motor coordination, self-awareness and control. This will also help calm and de-stress them. Lisa has advanced certification for using Yoga as Therapy and will be able to use these skills to help the children, and the parents, better succeed with learning and maintaining low stress levels.
